I am Yigal Chamish, Israeli blogger writing in Hebrew and in English. I collect and write stories about Organisations and Knowledge, as part of my interests in Knowledge Management (KM), Storytelling, Social Networks and Blogs.
Through the past ten years My direct activities have been focused on Organizational Learning, Knowledge management and Organizational Effectiveness.
I am a knowledge management practitioner and consultant, writer and a lecturer on the topic of Knowledge Management. I also contribute to a blog, in Hebrew, which is positioned at the heart of the Knowledge management body of knowledge. The blog address is http://www.yigalchamish.com.
Between the years 1999-2004 I was the knowledge manager at the Engineering & Planning division of Bezeq – the Israeli Telecommunication Corporation. I reported directly to the Bezeq VP of E&P.
At that time, it was one of the very first positions in the field of Knowledge Management in Israeli corporations.
I was responsible for the planning and execution of the Organizational learning and Knowledge Management program at the division. It incorporated conceptualization and development of KM Policy, Methodology and Implementation programs.
Best practices stood at the core of that program, as means of knowledge sharing, new knowledge creation and maintaining knowledge flow.
After one year, this KM program was appreciated as an effective program in the Israeli organizations scene.
At the beginning of 2001, I initiated, established and lead the Israeli Knowledge Managers’ Forum. The Israeli Knowledge Managers forum is a group of Israeli knowledge managers, professionals and practitioners, from various business and public sectors, who study KM and contributing to build the KM body of knowledge.
The forum vision is to contribute to the emerging discipline of KM, to maintain professional contacts with relevant colleagues and groups in Israel and abroad, and to serve as a center of KM in Israel. Since it’s inception, members of the forum meet regularly each month to maintain an ongoing virtual dialog, focusing on organizational KM programs as well as general issues in the KM discipline. The forum includes around 60 Knowledge Managers across all business sectors.

Dear Yigal, just occasionally found your blog, thank you very much, deeply appreciate your generous sharing. Do you know the work of Dan Bar On on story telling? And do you know the actually global network “the art of hosting”? It might be an interesting sharing for both sides. Take good care, Carmen from Europe/Western Austria
Carmen, Hello,
thank you for your comment! I did not know Dan personally yet I was aware of his interest in Storytelling. I am looking at the organization arena in regards to ST.
I will have a look on the sute,
Many thanks!
